Tragic News: Nephew of Br. Asghar Rizvi Attacked & Killed in Pakistan

Dear Momineen, we have very sad news from Pakistan, Younger brother (Mohsin Rizvi) of brother Syed Asghar Rizvi of Zainabia was attacked by the enemies of Islam, in Pakistan, with his son, Shaheed Akmal Rizvi, who passed away upon arrival at the hospital due to the severe injuries. Brother Mohsin Rizvi is in the hospital and in critical condition. Momineen are requested to recite Sura-al-Fateha and offer Namaz-e-Wahshat for Shaheed Syed Akmal Rizvi, son of Syed Mohsin Rizvi, and beloved nephew of Br. Asghar Rizvi.

~Moharram (1433 AH) – Ashra Program~

Based on the official announcement by the Crescent Moon Committee of the Council of Shi’a Muslim Scholars in North America, Sunday, November 27, 2011 is the first of Muharram 1433 A.H. Thus, Ashura, the day of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain, is Tuesday, December 6, 2011.

First Majlis at Zainabia will be held on Friday, Nov. 25, 2011.

Zainabia is honored to host Moulana Taqiul Haidri Sahib, a leading Aalim-e-Deen from India, as our guest speaker for this Ashra. He will address our Majaalis from November 25, 2011 to December 8, 2011.
